I've often said, anything worthwhile in life shouldn't be easy and man it was anything but easy for the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights to win the Section One Class 2A Championship in Rochester.  A young Plainview-Elgin-Millville team battled to the end in the 46-42 Knight victory.  Freshman off the bench Mara Quam was huge for K-W with 11 points including their only three of the night.  Senior Audra Clark led the Knight scoring with 12 points and Siri Sviggum added 10 including the free throws with 9.6 seconds that sealed the win.  Our Held Bus Service of Kenyon Knights of the game were Mara Quam, Audra and Meg Clark and Megan Quam.  Meg Clark scored but two points, but is such a good rebounder and played a huge defensive role in holding super sophomore Sarah Hart to 15 points.  Down the stretch Clark helped force the ball out of her hands and it was definitely a key in the victory.  Seedings are this weekend and the Knights ranked number two all season long should get that seed if NRHEG is there.  If they are the second seed K-W would play Wednesday night at 6pm and if they are the 3 seed they would play at 8pm at Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.
