Kenyon-Wanamingo Senior Kailee Berquam  struck out 14 of the 23 batters she faced in a 2-0 win over the Randolph Rockets Monday night in Wanamingo.  Berquam allowed just 3 hits and only one Rocket was able to get as far as second base in the contest.  It was the first time this season Randolph had been shut out.  Berquam struck out 8 of the first 9 batters she faced.  A lead-off bunt by Carolyn Meyer broke up the strikeout parade.  Berquam fanned every batter in the lineup at least once while handing Randolph just their third loss of the season.  The contest might have seeding implications because both teams are in the same subsection.  Kenyon-Wanamingo improved to 8-9 with the win while the Rockets dropped to 10-3 overall.  The Knights scored their two runs in the fifth inning when number nine hitter Savannah Blees connected for a 2rbi single after Sayla Berkner reached on an error and Maddie Anfinson on a fielders choice.  it was senior night for Kenyon-Wanamingo with the four seniors being honored before the game.  Randolph hosts Maple River in a big Gopher Conference showdown Tuesday and the Knights will be at Soldier's Field in Rochester to face the Lourdes Eagles Tuesday.  It was Berquam's third shutout of the season
