Zumbrota-Mazeppa showed why they are the top ranked Class A team in Minnesota with four Section 1A Champions and four second place finishers Saturday.  The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights had three Section 2A title holders and two second place finishers to qualify for the individual portion of the State Tournament.

The State Tournament begins Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul with Zumbrota-Mazeppa and Kenyon-Wanamingo in the team tournament also. For Kenyon-Wanamingo two time defending State Champion Jeron Mattson competes at 113 pounds as the Section 2A Champion.  Seth Brossard is the 145 pound Champ and Logan Quam the 182 pound Champion.

Knights placing second and advancing to state are Bray Olson at 120 pounds and Alec Johnson at 126.

For Zumbrota-Mazeppa Section 1A individual champions include senior Hayden Voxland at 170 pounds.  182 pound senior Caden Steffen, 195 pound junior Jacob Bennett and 220 pound senior Jarret Haglund.

Finishing second at Sections and heading to state from Zumbrota-Mazeppa are:

Sophomore Michael Majerus at 106 pounds and freshman Beau Jurrens at 113.

Senior Mike Vath at 126 pounds and classmate Luke Tupper at 145 pounds.

Triton senior Cole Rasmussen is the 126 Section 1A Champion and classmate Hunter Jennings placed second at 195 pounds.

Goodhue senior Mason Huemann is the 152 pound Section Champion.  Junior Kelby O'Reilly was second at 170 pounds and senior Ryan Schoenfelder second at 220.
