Kenyon-Wanamingo, Cannon Falls, Pine Island in Baseball State Rankings
The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights, Cannon Falls Bombers and Pine Island Panthers are all rated in the top 20 in the Let's Play Baseball Class 2A Poll.
The Knights defeated Cannon Falls in a thrilling walk-off game on Power 96 Radio on Monday 6-5 and got by Rochester Lourdes on Thursday evening 5-3.
Cannon Falls bounced back from their loss to Kenyon-Wanamingo with a walk-off win of their own Tuesday 5-4 over Minneapolis Southwest and dominated Pine Island 7-1 Thursday evening in a game broadcast on KDHL Radio at John Burch Park.
Since losing both games of a doubleheader to Kenyon-Wanamingo, Pine Island had their pitchers throw 18 consecutive scoreless innings heading into the Cannon Falls contest.
Panthers head coach Craig Anderson told KDHL that may be the first time his team had ever accomplished that impressive feat.
