The Security State Bank of Kenyon is hosting a special preview of their hometown celebration Rose Fest on Thursday at 2:30PM on KDHL.

Various community members in charge of the events will be giving us details about their happenings at this year's Rose Fest, which runs Friday through Sunday.

Rose Fest in Kenyon features something for everyone in the family, just as any good community celebration boasts.

Citywide garage sales take place Friday and Saturday throughout the community and there is a Book Sale in the City Council Chambers from 10AM to 4PM Friday and 10AM to 1PM Saturday.

More specifics of the Field of Flags at Veteran's Park will be given during the Kenyon-Wanamingo Area News on KDHL about 8:25AM Wednesday.

We visit with Kenyon Veterans Color Guard member Paul Senjem to get those details. You can reserve a flag by stopping by the park or phoning Mac at 789-5461. The honorees are not limited to veterans.

The Rose Fest Car Show is a favorite of many each August and runs from 8AM to 3PM.

There's a Kid's Pedal Pull next to the Security State Bank of Kenyon beginning at 10AM Saturday.

The Kenyon Community Parade is at 4PM and always features a number of Shriner units.

Street dances at the Muni include a free dance Friday night with "Fire at the Falls" beginning at 8:30PM. Saturday night Mountain Ash and Lost Highway hit the stage at 9PM.

There is a free pool party 8-10PM Friday with the Kenyon Municipal Pool closing for the season Sunday.

I hope you can tune in at 2:30PM Thursday and get more details straight from the organizers.
