I'm a summer person, so come this time of year as the temperatures drop, I find myself longing for more warm days. It's not that I don't love fall, it is a beautiful season, it's that summer always seems to fly by. I always wish for just a bit more summer before the leaves start to change. That being said, the burst of orange, red, yellow, and green that takes over the trees and sidewalks in the fall always amazes me. I didn't get everything crossed off of my summer list of things to do, but I have high hopes for my fall fun bucket list!

As the fall leaves are changing colors and temperatures get progressively cooler, I have a few things I am hoping to get accomplished this season. Fall always seems to fly by, but I’m hoping to cross at least a few of these off the list.

  • Travel to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention. This will be my fourth FFA convention, and my first time in Indy! Check out our adventurous trip last year here.
  • Attend at least one more big bonfire.
  • Dance the night away at a friend's wedding.
  • Carve a pumpkin. I love the detailed designs, but I stick to the classic jack-o-lantern.
  • The River Bend Nature Center is one of my favorite spots in Faribault, and a long walk on a fall afternoon is a must.
  • Roast pumpkin seeds.
  • Attend the annual Fall Festival and Chili contest in downtown Faribault.
  • Go on a hayride with friends.
  • Pass out candy on Halloween. Check out my post on pet costumes here.
  • Visit a brewery or winery and take a tour.
  • Cast my vote in the upcoming election. Let me know who you would vote for if the election were today.
  • Visit friends and family that I haven’t seen for a while.
  • Play with my pup in the fallen leaves.
  • Go apple picking.

What is on your fall bucket list?
