The 2015 KDHL Medallion Hunt is over.

Paulette and Ron Jameson of Faribault are the winners. Paulette stopped by the KDHL studios with the medallion and told us her husband was walking their daughter's dog Thursday morning when he walked along the trail in Spring Park and picked up some trash and deposited it in the waste can. Lo and behold, the medallion was next to the can.

Ron went to work in Burnsville. Paulette stopped by the Tilt-A-Whirl car unveiling and was talking to a friend who asked if she knew whether the KDHL Medallion had been found. She said, "Yes I have it!" The friend was excited and wanted to see the Chappuis Jewelers handcrafted silver medallion, and so she showed it to her before arriving at KDHL to collect her prize package valued at about $500.

In addition to the medallion, which they get to keep, the Jamesons received dinner and show tickets for four to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, a four-pack of Minnesota Twins tickets, a day for four at Canterbury Park and a four-pack of tickets to the Minnesota Zoo.

Paulette was pretty excited about the nice prizes, but may have been most enthusiastic when she agreed to ride with her husband in the Heritage Days Parade on Jerry's 1958 John Deere tractor.

Here are the four clues written for the KDHL Medallion Hunt.

Clue No. 1:

Faribault invites everyone to enjoy their community. The Heritage Days Celebration showcases it beautifully.
The handcrafted Chappuis Jewelers silver medallion is what you'll find. Better know Faribault and its history in this exercise of the mind.

Clue No. 2:

Faribault has 39 parks throughout the city. A fact as sure as this is no ditty.
Alexander Faribault founded the community site in 1852. Fur trading was his work by the Cannon and Straight Rivers so blue.
During the Civil War years Faribault gained a reputation. As an educational and religious center throughout the nation.
Some medallion seekers will go west and some will go east. Others venture north, yet others head south with no fear in the least.

Clue No. 3:

Heritage Days began in 1983 and most years headquartered in Central Park. If you head to the south side of town you will no longer be in the dark.
Nearly every letter of the alphabet is used in the name of a Faribault green space. From Batchelder to Westwood and Bluebird to Windsor you have to pick up the pace.
Because you'll be heading downhill to where the medallion sits. Take the Straight River Trail and you'll find it if you don't call it quits.

Clue No. 4:

Not far from Prairie or 17th Street Southwest. Is the object of this modern-day conquest.
Just off the street sits a dispenser for waste. Next to the trail that ends in this park, you might want to make haste.

The Jamesons moved to Faribault from Janesville, Wis., in 1999 and enjoy the community.

Congratulations Paulette and Ron Jameson, the 2015 KDHL Medallion Hunt winners.
