Kasson-Mantorville Still Atop Class AA Wrestling Poll
The Kasson-Mantorville Komets are a no brainer choice for number one in the Guillotine's latest Class 2A high school wrestling rankings.
The Komets have 10 wrestlers (there are 14 weight classes) rated among the top wrestlers in their class and three of them are ranked number one.
So the natural question is, can any team challenge Kasson-Mantorville for the Class 2A state title or will they repeat ?
Albert Lea Area has seven state ranked wrestlers.

106 pounds- Senior Matt Petersen of Byron is rated number one. Freshman Nic Cantu of Albert Lea Area is 5th. Kasson-Mantorville 8th grader Bennett Berge is 7th. Sophomore Nick Johnson of Tri-City United is 9th.
113 pounds- Freshman Charlie Pickell of Mankato West is number one. Junior Jared Johnson of Kasson-Mantorville is 4th and frreshman Joe Peterson of Albert Lea Area is 8th.
120 pounds- Waseca junior Justin Sampson is second. Kasson-Mantorville sophomore Robby Horsman is 7th and junior Jake Johnsrud of Albert Lea Area is 10th.
126 pounds- Senior Reed Defrang of Plainview-Elgin-Millville is second and Albert Lea Area junior Gavin Ignazewski is 8th.
132 pounds- Kasson-Mantorville senior Brady Laumb is 6th.
138 pounds- Albert Lea Area senior Garrett Aldrich is number one. Senior Keaten Schorr of Kasson-Mantorville is 3rd, Byron senior Ben Adamson is 6th.
145 pounds- Kasson-Mantorville senior Isaac Haman is 3rd, junior Brody Nielsen of Albert Lea Area is 5th.
152 pounds- Sophomore Zach Glazier of Albert Lea Area is ranked 4th.
160 pounds- Kasson-Mantorville senior Brady Berge is number one. Senior Chase Pomeroy of Winona is 2nd and Waseca sophomore Beau Milbrett 3rd. Cannon Falls junior Hayden Strain is 8th.
170 pounds- Kasson-Mantorville freshman Patrick Kennedy is number one. Senior Mason Rutt of Tri-City United is 4th.
195 pounds- Kasson-Mantorville senior Noah Ryan is number one and Tri-City United senior Jordan Simonette is 7th.
220 pounds- Mankato West junior Zachary Jakes is number one and Stewartville senior Travis Capelle is 2nd.
