Kristin Scott of Kasson-Mantorville was named to the Associated Press Third Team All-State squad. The sophomore had an impressive season, nearly averaging a double-double during the regular season and did average a double-double during the recently completed state tournament. Scott has verbally committed to play at Iowa State, but would be a perfect fit in Gopher head coach Marlene Stollings' fast-paced offense because the 6-foot-2 post runs the floor so well.

The AP Player of the Year was senior Madison Guebert of Eastview of Apple Valley. In addition to Guebert, named to the first team all-state squad were seniors T'aire Starks of Hopkins and Monica Burch of Roseville and juniors Taylor Koenen of Shakopee and Jamie Ruden of Rochester John Marshall.

Second team all-state includes juniors Andrayah Adams of St. Paul Como Park, Courtney Fredrickson of Minnetonka and Nia Hollie of Hopkins; and senior Alex Wittinger of Delano and sophomore Lindsey Theuninck of Mankato Loyola.

Along with Scott, named to the third team were fellow sophomore Mikalya Hayes of Park Center, junior Kiara Russell of Osseo and seniors Danielle Gitzen of Chanhassen and Sarah Buysse of Marshall.
