Kasson-Mantorville Qualifies Nine Wrestlers for State AA Tournament

Top-ranked and unbeaten in dual competition, Kasson-Mantorville has nine individuals who will be competing at their weights in the State AA Wrestling Tournament.

• Freshman Robby Horsman is ranked fifth at 106
• Sophomore Jared Johnson is rated fifth at 113
• Junior Keaton Schorr is ranked third at 126
• 138-pound junior Isaac Haman
• 145-pound sixth-ranked Patrick Kennedy is an eighth-grader with just four losses
• Brady Berge is ranked No. 1 at 160 pounds
• Senior Andy Bigelow is rated fifth at 170
• Senior Aaron Berge is rated No. 2 at 182 and is also seeded second
• Junior Noah Ryan is the top-ranked wrestler at 195 in Class AA and is seeded first.

Other qualifiers from area include:

• At 106 pounds, top-ranked Matt Petersen, a junior from Byron is not seeded first.
• Eighth-grader Charlie Pickell of Mankato West is rated fourth but seeded second.
• At 113 pounds, Byron eighth-grader Mitchel Petersen and Waseca sophomore Justin Sampson are in the tournament. Sampson is ranked eighth.
• From the Big Nine, Albert Lea's 126-pound Zach Glazier is a freshman with more than 30 wins and is ranked fifth.
• 132-pound Albert Lea junior Garrett Aldrich is tops at the weight and is seeded No. 1 in the tournament.
• Sophomore Brody Nielsen of Albert Lea has 30 wins at 138 pounds.
• Cannon Falls senior Ryan Epps is the top-rated wrestler at 145 and is unbeaten and seeded first in the tournament.
• At 152 pounds, New Prague senior Griffin Parriott is the top-rated and top-seeded wrestler and Waseca freshman Beau Milbrett is ranked fifth and came out of the same section.
• New Prague sophomore Gaige Giles is wrestling at 160 pounds.
• Tri-City United junior Mason Rutt is ranked seventh at 170 pounds and is joined by senior Chris Nelson of Albert Lea and New Prague senior Nick Knutson. Knutson is rated fourth at the weight class in Class AA.
• Byron senior Alex Bertram and New Prague senior Cameron Schmitz wrestle at 182.
• Tri-City United junior Jordan Simonette has 30 wins and wrestles at 195.
• Waseca seniior Dylan Winegar is rated sixth and Mankato West sophomore Zachary Jakes is second at 220 pounds.
• Junior Matt Palmer of Albert Lea and Mankato East Senior Logan Swanson are wrestling at 285 in the state tournament. Swanson is ranked third and seeded second
