The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights girls basketball team jumped out to a 20-4 lead Monday night and never looked back in a 60-46 win over Waterville-Elysian-Morristown in Waterville. The Knights led 39-21 at the half.

The three-point shot was the difference in the first half. K-W knocked down five of them while W-E-M tallied just one. Each team added one triple in the second half. Our Held Bus Service of Kenyon Knights of the night were Mara Quam with 20 points, Brittany Flom with 14 points and Megan Quam with 13. The Knights also outscored the Bucs 12-6 at the free throw line and had just seven turnovers in the game compared to 13 for W-E-M.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown junior Tierney Winter finished with 20 points and was the only Buccaneer in double figures. W-E-M  is now 15-7 and hosts Medford on Friday night; K-W travels to Pine Island with a 15-7 record. That game will be on KDHL Radio.
