Sunday afternoon I was on the back 40 combining beans and I noticed a strip of weedy beans. Then I glanced over to the rest of the field and I saw another strip of weeds a little way over. The rest of the beans were weed-free. I suspected I knew what happened but I hat to get out of the combine and check.

I have a 60-foot sprayer that covers 16 rows of beans. Counting the rows, the weedy strips were 16 rows apart. It seemed pretty obvious that when I was spraying the beans in late June I had one sprayer tip that was plugged. I don't remember that I noticed one was plugged when I was spraying that field, but I am sure that is what happened. Trying to look at the positive side, it was only two strips of weeds and not the entire field. The other positive was the Flexstar GT herbicide was worth what I paid for it. The whole field would have looked like those two strips!
