It’s Going to Be a Busy Week!

It is going to be a fun but busy week coming up with the Goodhue County Fair, Dakota County Fair and Farmfest! Yes, two County Fairs on top of driving back and forth to Farmfest at the Gilfillan Estate near Red Wood Falls. I will be at Farmfest all 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday morning I will be in the Goodhue County Pork Producers Food Stand. Plus I will be broadcasting from the Goodhue County 4-H Livestock Auction fro 9:00 am to about noon.

Then Saturday afternoon and evening I will be at the Dakota County Fair. I will have a few 4-H interviews to do plus the Annual Dakota County BBQ Contest. Yes, Olive Huff asked me again this year to be the "Official BBQ Judge" at the Dakota Count County Fair. One of the rules is that the meat must be grilled and prepared at the Dakota County Fair.

One of the fun parts of the contest is that I get to interview the winners of each category, beef, pork and poultry. Usually there is a nice crowd there hoping to pick up a few grilling tips. Then again, maybe there are there because after the contest everyone gets to taste the BBQ!
