AM Minnesota is on the road to Morristown on Thursday to visit with Dam Days Chairman Steve Nordmeier about the kickoff to summer celebration.

I always enjoy Dam Days and am honored again to be one of the announcers along the parade route. After the parade (or sometimes before), I always stop by and get a delicious cheeseburger from the firefighters' food wagon.

The twilight parade starts at 7PM and one of the highlights for me is the area high school bands that participate, and if your kids or grandkids want candy they could actually call this the Dam Days Candy Parade.

Smokescreen is a terrific group and they will be performing Saturday night under the big tent. Following the parade Friday night it's Radio Active. Please purchase a button for $2 even if you are just going to the parade. It helps pay for some of the very entertaining units.

Tune in at 9:30AM and learn more about the 30th annual Morristown Dam Days fun.
