Yesterday Netflix announced that it is coming out with a new reality series starring Derren Brown, a psychological illusionist. The name of the new series is 'The Push'. The show's main focus centers around a group of actors and a unknowing participant. The group of actors are attempting to convince the person that they should commit murder!

Of course the murder won't happen, but still this seems like it is pushing the envelope a little too far. In the press release for the show Netflix words the series this way;

"Brown exposes the psychological secrets of obedience and social compliance. He expertly lifts the lid on the terrifying truth that, when confronted with authority, our natural instinct is to unflinchingly obey without question—to such an extent that even the most moral people can be made to commit the most horrendous acts, simply because they are told to do so."

Now that doesn't sound as bad as a group of actors trying to convince someone to commit murder, but this show is defiantly generating some hype for Netflix. The thought of someone being put in that position alone make me somewhat uncomfortable and at the same time I'm curious as to what may happen.
