Last week was a rough week in our household, my daughter had strep throat, which she gladly shared with me. In addition to strep, I had the beginnings of a sinus infection, and then caught a cold on top of all of that.

Here's the thing, I'm a mom, which means that unless I am at death's door, I don't get any time off to be sick. I did take one day off, only to make sure I was not spreading strep to everyone else, while I was waiting for my antibiotics to kick in.

Of course during the worst of the cold I caught, I saw the man flu all over my Facebook feed. Apparently it might be a real thing. I have to say that I got a huge kick out of it. Could this be the justification that men need to get someone to take care of them while they are suffering from a cold? Or, was it a more lighthearted look at how the different sexes handle a cold?

What are your thoughts? Is man flu real? You can read the article here.
