The ways to consume coffee are seemingly limitless. You can choose from pumpkin spice lattes with skim milk, espresso shots, caramel frappuccinos with whip cream, Americanos, to plain black coffee and everything in between. Last week I wanted to know how you take your coffee.

The results are in, and the numbers surprised me a bit. Nearly two-thirds, 63 percent, of poll respondents said that they prefer to have their coffee without the extras and drink basic black. Specialty drinks like mochas and frappes followed in second place with 25 percent of people participating favoring something sweet. Twelve percent of those who took the poll said they'll pass on the coffee and get their energy boost elsewhere.

Here in the KDHL and Power 96 studios, we have at least four people that I can think of who don't drink coffee and instead get their caffeine boost from soda when they need it. Given I know so many people who don't drink coffee, I was surprised to see that only 12 percent of people taking the poll identified as non-coffee drinkers. I'll take coffee in almost any form, and prefer to start each morning with it, and it looks like I fall in line with most people taking the poll.

Cheers fellow coffee drinkers!
