Christmas is so close! And as usual, I'll be repeating a less then favorite tradition tonight.....

Panicking! haha  Ok, maybe not a full blown panic, I do have most of my shopping done, but there are always those last minute errands to run. And of course the gifts need to be wrapped. This year I promised myself I would be prepared, and organized, and have everything done at least a week in advance. But life doesn't work that way, I got sick, and my plan got put on hold. So tomorrow I'll pick up a few things, wrap all of my presents, and then it's time to start the traditions I look forward to! We've always done our immediate celebration on Christmas eve, so I'll be spending tomorrow night sipping some egg nog and unwrapping a few gifts. The 25th brings a trip to my grandparent's place, and usually sledding is involved, but I think this year's lack of snow will require a different activity.

Other holiday traditions I love include seeing friends and family who live far away, pulling out all of the decorations and remembering receiving each ornament, sitting near the tree filled with lights, watching the little kids sing at church, listening to holiday CDs, and more.

What are your favorite traditions this time of year?
