Faribault's Heritage Celebration was the topic on today's AM Minnesota program. Heritage committee members Paul Peanasky and Jason Reher stopped by KDHL studios to discuss all the events scheduled for the annual festival. Peanasky said that every year they try and add new events that people might enjoy. Officially the celebration runs Wednesday, June 17, through Sunday, June 21. However, the entire week is filled with special activities starting with the Bruce Smith Golf Classic on Monday.

There is something special about a rural community celebration. Many people volunteer to help out with different activities. High school class and family reunions are often scheduled around community celebrations. It is always nice to see so many people from surrounding communities in Faribault for Heritage Days. It is also great to see many people from Faribault at other community celebrations. If you would like to find out more about all the activities planed for Faribault's Heritage Days go the website, faribaultheritagedays.com, or watch a video of the show below.
