Earlier today as I read the weather on the Power 96 Morning Show, I stated that Friday night was going to be a good night to sit outside and enjoy a bonfire and maybe toast some marshmallows and make s'mores. What I failed to realize was that tonight would also be good for making that graham cracker treat as part of celebrating National S'mores Day.

When you're done enjoying the Faribault Pet Parade, which starts at 7PM, why not wrap up the evening sitting around a fire in the backyard, toasting some marshmallows and sandwiching them between a couple of graham crackers with chocolate. Maybe treat the kids to some root beer, like my parents used to do when I was but a wee lad.

This chillin' out around the fire also ties in well with one of today's other observances, National Lazy Day. So you're killing two birds with one stone. If you want to find out the other National Days being celebrated today, check out today's listing on NationalDayCalendar.com.
