This is what I saw Sunday from about 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. It's the view from my combine cab as I harvested soybeans. Notice the dust coming from the center of the picture. It sure makes you appreciate the nice heated and air conditioned cabs. It was about 5:00 pm and I had 6 rounds left on a 40 acre field. I was calculating that it would take about another 3 hours to finish that field. I might make it before the dew set in. When the beans get damp you have to quit. Well, all at once the sickle stopped! The two bolts broke that drive the sickle. Worse yet the stubs of the bolts were in the pitman drive. I went home a little earlier than I planed on Sunday. First thing Monday morning I called Ag Power Enterprises and my "good buddy" Bill with Ag Power stopped by and fixed it. The beans should certainly be dry enough by Wednesday afternoon.
