I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving with their family and friends. For Louise and I it was a typical Thanksgiving, turkey and naps. We both got home late on Wednesday and we have to work on Friday. For us a normal day starts at 3:15AM. There just does not seem to be enough energy to drive to a family gathering. Plus it seems to take a couple weeks for me to recover from harvest, a trip to Louisville for the National FFA Convention and Farm Broadcasters Convention in Kansas City.

For Louise and I there was sadness and a lot to be thankful for this year. In January Louise's only brother, Richard, died suddenly and in October my dad died. The thing we are most thankful for are the nice people in our community with the cards, condolences, and just handshakes of support. This morning I stopped by the Faribault American Legion about 7:30 and I counted 19 people already there working on the community Thanksgiving dinner. This picture shows the type of people I am referring to.
