Last weekend my daughter treated me to a day at the salon as an early Christmas gift. I have been wanting to get my hair trimmed up for awhile, so this was a great way to spend time with her, and get my 'do done.

Now, my hair was almost down to the middle of my back, and it was the longest it has been in years. I was wanting a change, more than a trim, but not the "I want to speak to the manager" hairstyle. So, after much discussion with my stylist, we decided to do more than a trim, and I had enough hair to donate to Wigs for Kids. Well that settled it, I was going to go for a drastic cut, and my hair was going to be donated.

I was able to donate over 8 inches of hair, and my hair will be used to create wigs for kids who are suffering from hair loss, not just from cancer and chemotherapy, but also alopecia, and burn victims. It felt great to get my hair chopped, yet, I'm still getting used to it. It is a nice added bonus to know my hair is going to be used for a great cause.
