Today is a pretty good day in the grains which are all higher. Corn traders are watching the situation in the Ukraine as it seems like tensions are rising. That area of the world does export a fair amount of corn and wheat. Corn traders had another reminder that world demand for corn is very good. The USDA announced that South Korea bought corn from the United States this morning. Some traders are looking ahead to spring planting in the Midwest. With the cold winter, deep frost and the winter that seems to continue it does not seem to indicate an early planting season. Old crop soybeans are posting big gains this morning. China continues to take soybeans from the United States. While China has canceled some soybean purchases they have not been from the United States but rather from South America!
