With today being Memorial Day all the agricultural markets are closed. Trading will resume this evening for the overnight session. Some of the financial markets are open for a while today but normally not many traders are paying attention. One point you need to be aware of is that the rest of the world will be trading. This is a holiday only in the United States. If there is market moving news like weather or economic issues happening, traders overseas will be trading it.

Typically it is a quiet day in all the world markets when we are closed in the United States. Many times when there is a long holiday weekend in the United States you will see a change in market trends. Hopefully that does not occur this weekend. Beans have had a great rally and look like they may be consolidating getting ready for another leg higher. Corn has pretty much been "dead in the water" during the big bean rally. Finally late last week it looked like corn was breaking out to the upside. Lets hope the long weekend does not change the trend!
