Gophers Unbeaten No More

The #10 Class 2A Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs knocked off the #3 Chatfield Gophers in the East Subsection Championship of Section 1 Saturday 61-58.  Chatfield led 32-27 at the half.  With 14:34 to go the Bulldogs tied the game at 37 it was seesaw until sophomore Sarah Hart swished a 3 pointer.  Hart also hit two clutch free throws with 18.8 seconds to go and PEM got the last stop to preserve the win.  Hart finished with 15 points and handled the ball down the stretch too. Sophomore Tessa Hubbard also collected 15 points for PEM.  The Bulldogs will play Kenyon-Wanamingo in the Section Championship Thursday night at 8 in Rochester.
