Goodhue Girls Now Third in State Class A Basketball Rankings
The defending Class A state champion Goodhue Wildcats have dropped two straight games and are now ranked third in Class A.
The Wildcats were defeated by Mountain Iron-Buhl in Hopkins 78-34 Saturday and fell to Hayfield on Tuesday night 46-34 in Goodhue.
In Class 2A, defending state champion Plainview-Elgin-Millville is also ranked third. Norwood-Young America out of the Minnesota River Conference is eighth.
In Class 3A, Winona and Northfield out of the Big Nine Conference are fifth and 10th, respectively, and Waseca is rated seventh.
In the biggest schools in the state, Eastview and Apple Valley are second and fifth and Lakeville North is ninth all out of the South Suburban Conference.
