The Goodhue Wildcats lost last season in the playoffs to the eventual Section Champions from Faribault Bethlehem Academy.  Thursday they ended the Cardinals season with a 84-37 win in hopes of replacing BA has Section champs.  Mikayla Miller led the Wildcats with 21 points and Kali Ryan added 11.  Goodhue led 51-17 at the half leaving little doubt they were the top seed in the Section.  The Cardinals were led by Shelby Meyers 10 points and Keely Skluzacek added 9.  BA Seniors Jenna Brown, Ramontica Lanfeldt and Nicole Van Horn were selected the Faribault State Farm Agents Faribault players of the game on the KDHL broadcast.  Goodhue will play Southland in the Sub-Section Semis Monday at 6pm in the Rochester Mayo Civic Auditorium.  The Rebels bested Randolph 71-48. On the other side of the bracket Lyle Pacelli cruised by Grand Meadow 67-21 and Blooming Prairie downed Leroy-Ostrander 75-50.  Those two winners meet at 7:30 Monday night.

In East Sub-Section action Thursday top seeded Rushford Peterson had no trouble with Lanesboro 79-38, Mabel-Canton defeated Wabasha-Kellogg 51-44, second seeded Fillmore Central edged 7 seed Hope Lutheran 48-45 and Spring Grove rolled past Kingsland 64-44.  East semis are Tuesday in the auditorium in Rochester.
