Goodhue County 4-H Auction Saturday Morning

The Goodhue County 4-H Livestock Auction is Saturday morning on the Goodhue County Fairgrounds in Zumbrota. The morning begins with a complimentary buyers breakfast in the 4-H building. The auction begins at 9AM in the Livestock Show Arena. The Goodhue County 4-H program is one of the largest in Minnesota, and that means this is one of the largest livestock auctions, too. It is always great to see so many business and individuals there supporting the 4-H program.

Watching the 4-H members get their livestock ready for the auction is really fun. They are busy washing and grooming their animals just like they would for the judge the day of the show. I ask many of the 4-H members what they are going to do with the money they get from the livestock auction. Some are saving it for college while many others put it back into expanding their herd. They always seem to be very responsible with the money!
