Go Gophers!

My brother Joe and sister in law Brenda have lived in Wisconsin for more than 30 years. Well, it only took about 6 months for the former Minnesotans to get totally corrupted. They turned into Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fans! Joe has 4 season tickets to the Wisconsin Badger men's basketball team. When we were together the Saturday after Thanksgiving Joe said why don't you and Louise come to Madison when the Badgers play the Gophers?

It was a good thing he made the offer, and we accepted before the Gophers beat the Badgers at Camp Randel. Yes, Paul Bunyan's Ax came back to Minnesota. I heard last November was the first time the Gophers beat the Badgers in Wisconsin since Nixon was President! Then, Thursday night the Gophers went to the Kohl Center in Madison and beat the Badgers. We were "gracious" winners and all the Badger fans were very polite too,

Louise and I really enjoy college basketball. Maybe it is the college pep band, cheer leaders, gymnasts and the students that make the atmosphere special. We had a great time with Joe and Brenda. Louise said when we send a thank you card, maybe we could suggest we could come back to Madison next year?
