Now that the Christmas season is upon us how many of you bring your kids or grandkids to meet Santa Claus? Well if they're not skittish and want to meet him tonight he'll be available for pictures at the Faribault Senior Center tonight as part of the Hometown Holidays Celebration from 5:30-7:30PM hosted by the Buckham Center in downtown Faribault. There will be a bunch of other family events going on as well. See Kelly Krage's post on our website for more details.

If you have a kindergartener or first-grader that doesn't like to actually climb onto Santa's lap for the Christmas card picture but still wants to share with him their wish list for this year, I've got the next best thing for you. Faribault Park and Rec and the Faribault Area Senior Center are offering a A Call From Santa this year on Wednesday, December 14, between 5:30-7PM. This free phone call will give your child a chance to share with Santa and Mrs. Claus some of the things they're hoping for this Christmas. To participate please fill out the form by December 12 and return it to the Faribault Park and Rec Center at 15 W. Division St., then make sure you're there to answer the call from Santa. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Strodtman at (507) 334-2064 or by email at jstrodtman@ci.faribault.mn.us.
