St. Olaf College will open its home football schedule Saturday at 1:00 vs Luther College. The game will see a contrast in styles. Oles to throw. Norse will run.

The Oles will square off with their rivals from Decorah, Iowa when the Norse roll into Manitou Field in Northfield Saturday at 1:00. You can expect a different approach when each has the ball.

St. Olaf lined up five wide receivers at times in their season opening 17-16 loss at Northwestern of St. Paul last Saturday. Oles QB Nate Penz threw for about 250 yards, basically his average from last season. St. Olaf ran for about 100 yards.

Luther College runs an option offense and plowed their way to 447 yards on 78 carries in their season opening 35-33 come from behind win over Presentation College last week.

Luther won last year's match-up in Decorah 20-13 on a fourth quarter touchdown.
