Finding a good welder these days I've been told is not easy, so we get details about the South Central College of Faribault welding program.

Dean of Workforce Education and Training Barb Embacher will be joined on today's program by welding instructor John Smith.

Advanced technology is creating more uses for welding in the workplace and expanding employment opportunities.

South Central College's Center for Business and Industry can also design welding courses tailored to meet the needs of a company.

They also offer professional and continuing education classes on a regular basis, and basic courses designed to introduce the set up and principles of welding.

Introductory courses in MIG Welding, Stick Welding and TIG Welding include welding safety and hands-on training. Follow up with the MIG and TIG Welding Lab for the opportunity to advance your welding skills with additional hands-on time in the welding lab and plenty of time for questions, demonstration and personal instruction.

South Central College has been successfully training and certifying welders for 35 years. Certification in the various welding processes can be accomplished at the company site as well as in the SCC new welding facilities.
