Florida Georgia Line shared their new album and their new whiskey during a listening party for fans in Nashville this week. The duo played several songs from Dig Your Roots, and spoke candidly about where the songs came from.

Prior to Pandora Presents Florida Georgia Line at Oz Arts in Nashville, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley talked about how their wives influenced the album, admitting that at times they had to stop themselves from writing about their respective significant others. Hubbard's late father is also mentioned on the album. The beginning of the album's title track calls out his influence. Roy Hubbard died in 2007.

In addition to singing "Dig Your Roots" and "H.O.L.Y.," Florida Georgia Line performed "Smooth," "Life Is a Honeymoon" (which appears as a collaboration with Ziggy Marley on Dig Your Roots) and "May We All," their collaboration with Tim McGraw. FGL mixed old hits in between the new, and felt comfortable in a few-hundred-seat theater — a much smaller site than the arenas they're used to filling.

Additionally, Hubbard and Kelley introduced Old Camp Whiskey, their new brand of whiskey. Fans on hand could sample the whiskey as they liked. During a Q&A before the show they explained how the venture just made sense. They'd been doing so much for Fireball Whiskey that having their own label seemed like the next step.

Dig Your Roots drops on Aug. 26. "H.O.L.Y." has already reached No. 1 (Hubbard says he knew it'd be as big a hit as it was), and "May We All" has been received warmly at radio. This is the "Cruise" hitmakers' third studio album. Members of the media and music industry joined the select Pandora listeners given free tickets for the show.
