It is going to be a busy three days as I head over to Farmfest on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Gilfillian Estate near Redwood Falls. Farmfest is always held on the Gilfillian Estate, so that means there are a lot of permanent buildings, gravel roads and grass parking lots. On seed row, most of the seed and chemical companies are there with the latest corn hybrids and soybean varieties growing in their plots. In addition, there are rows and rows of exhibitors plus many more in big tents.

Finally there is the Wick Forum building, where there are morning and afternoon forums with timely topics plus of course talks on markets and weather. I will be moderating the forum Wednesday afternoon on the Changing Public Perception of Agriculture and What Can Be Done About It. Farmfest always wraps up Thursday afternoon with the Farm Family of the Year Program. I will be helping with that program honoring more than 70 counties' Farm Families of the Year. If you see me at Farmfest, flag me down and say hi!
