Farmamerica Minnesota's Agriculture Interpretative Center, just west of Waseca, will hold its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Monday, April 17, at the Visitors Center on the Farmamerica grounds. Farmamerica relies on many volunteers to fulfill their mission to educate citizens and consumers about agriculture past, present and future. The dinner will be served at 5:30PM and the program and annual meeting will begin at 6PM.

While there are hundreds of volunteers that help at Farmamerica every year, a few were chosen for special recognition. The 2016 award recipients include the Directors Awards Vic and Bev Emery and Roger and Marilyn Rucker, The Volunteers of the year Scott Kudelka and Roger Walker. The organization being honored is Sentence to Serve Greg Klingerman and the business Northwinds Plumbing and Heating. Very soon classroom visits will begin at Farmamerica as they gear up for a busy summer. If you would like more information go to the web site farmamerica.org.
