This is a picture of a popular booth at the Minnesota Ag Expo. The U.S. Meat Export Federation is an organization that works on developing foreign markets for meat produced in the United States. They receive money from organizations like the corn and soybean growers. Instead of just exporting corn and soybeans, why not add value the commodities here and then export the meat? Bruce Schmoll is a corn and soybean grower from Dodge County and serves as the vice president of the U.S. Meat Export Federation. He will be taking over soon as president.

To tell their story and get attention, they served samples of Japanese Pork Curry with white rice. I thought Bruce looked spiffy in an apron! Japanese Pork Curry was excellent! In case you were wondering, I did get a couple of samples, well maybe three. But I had a very important job. Bruce instructed me to walk around the trade show and tell people where to find the Japanese Pork Curry! So, I actually earned my lunch, or maybe was rented for food!
