The Annual Pet Parade in Faribault will take place on Aug. 6. This year marks 79 years for the event.

Categories include big dogs, little dogs, horses, unusual pets, kittens, rabbits and farm animals. Other categories are strollers, clowns, skateboards, costumes and scooters. Judging begins at 6:15PM and the parade starts at 7PM. There will be a first, second and third place prize awarded for each category.

A pet is not needed to participate in this event. If you would like to create your own float for the parade, you are asked to preregister. You can do so by calling the Faribault Community Center at (507) 334-2064.

The pet parade is a well-known and loved tradition for people of all ages in Faribault, and the fact that is has been around for 79 years is very impressive. Mark your calendars and plan to attend the 79th annual Pet Parade in Faribault on Thursday, Aug. 6, starting at 7PM.
