Richard Huston is the past president of the Faribault Rotary and will be on today's AM Minnesota program to give us details about the unveiling of a new mural in downtown Faribault.

The unveiling takes place tomorrow during the Faribault Fall Festival.

The mural depicts a 1950s or early '60s downtown Faribault scene that includes the recently refurbished Security Bank clock downtown. The Rotary was instrumental, along with the Burkhartzmeyers, in getting the clock restored.

I'm sketchy on all the details myself, but Faribault Chamber President Kymn Anderson saw this somewhere and purchased the original copy of this Northern Power Company advertising piece, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Huston will tell this fascinating story on today's show so I hope you can listen at 9:30AM.

If not, go to www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio and watch the program on your own time.

I would highly recommend watching Thursday's program when we visited with some of the best and brightest students from Bethlehem Academy, including Maddie Drevlow, a National Merit Scholar finalist.

Bethlehem Academy President/Principal Dr. Chuck Briscoe told us Drevlow is the first Merit Scholar finalist in more than a decade and noted just how rare it is to be selected.
