Faribault police have captured a suspect in a robbery at Domino's. Officers say the suspect was carrying a replica pistol and a large amount of cash.

Shortly after midnight Friday, Faribault police responded to a robbery call at Domino's, 629 N.W. Fourth St. According to a press release, officers saw a male with a cloth wrapped around his head escorting employees out of the business. When the suspect directed the employees to go back into the business, the release said, officers confronted him and he was taken into custody.

The suspect faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated robbery and second-degree assault charges. The release said he is expected to be charged on Monday

Chief Andy Bohlen commented, “I am very proud of the quick tactical response, restraint, and professionalism of the Faribault officers and assisting Rice County Deputies. In-progress robbery calls with brandished weapons can easily result in forced deadly encounters but police were able to apprehend the suspect and resolve the incident without injury to any of the persons involved.”
