Faribault Public Schools Superintendent Todd Sesker stops by to elaborate on the proposed athletic fieldhouse facility in Faribault.

The Faribault City Council has decided to hold off on adding a gym to the Community Center to see what happens with the proposed fieldhouse.

Once the Faribault Area Senior Center expansion is completed, then the city will leave the Washington facility on the east side and gym space was needed but would not be if the fieldhouse is constructed.

On the heels of the Senior Center expansion, the question is would the community be in favor of a tax increase to pay for the new proposed fieldhouse.

Sesker did touch on the topic of a fieldhouse in our last visit, but a number of events have happened since then so I'm looking forward to seeing what needs to happen to make this a reality.

He did indicate a community survey would be conducted to indicate if the coummunity would support such a project.
