Faribault Public School Superintendent on AM Minnesota
Faribault Public School Superintendent Todd Sesker is the guest on our KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30AM today.
If you can’t tune in at that time go to the KDHL YouTube channel and watch the program at a more convenient time for you.
Earlier this week, the Faribault Public School Board voted unanimously to go to the voters in the school district November 7 and ask to replace the existing levy. If that request passes, the second question school district residents are asked to vote on would provide upgrades and renovations at all buildings in the district.
The plan would also be to construct a event center or fieldhouse and childhood education center in the district. The general obligation bond request is for about $86.1 million. We will discuss the tax impact of the plan and specifics of the plan with Sesker.
When I spoke with Faribault School Board member Chad Wolff earlier this week, he indicated board members will be conducting presentations throughout the community before November to make sure everyone is informed about the reasons the board believes now is the time to make these improvements throughout the district.
