Some members of the Faribault Police Department might be in need of some knit caps if we continue with our streak of winter weather. According to a post on the Faribault Police Departments Facebook page, on March 15th some members of the Faribault Police Department will be shaving their heads for Tigers Tackling Childhood Cancers, a St. Baldrick's Foundation event at the Medford Public Schools .

This bold act of baldness has gained major momentum since its start in 2000. The Faribault Police aren't going to be alone as they shave their heads. the St. Baldrick's Foundation will be having more than 1,000 head-shaving events taking place around the world at pubs, restaurants, schools, churches, parks, firehouses, military bases over the next several weeks.

You can help the Faribault Police reach their goal of a $1,000 by contributing here. Or, if you wish to donate in person before the event, you can drop off your donation at Faribault Police Department lobby. If you are going to write out a check you are asked to make it payable to the Faribault Police Benefit Association.
