Faribault Mayor Kevin Voracek on AM Minnesota

Faribault Mayor Kevin Voracek is in his third month as the community's chief elected official and is scheduled to be on our KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30 this morning.

I'll ask him if there have been any surprises so far since taking over the post.

His hopes and dreams for the new year were discussed along with former Mayor John Jasinski on our annual New Year's Eve show with the mayor. I'll ask him to refresh our memories about those goals.

Monday, Faribault Superintendent of Public Schools Todd Sesker will be dropping by our AM Minnesota show to give us an update on the facilities discussion in the district. They are hoping to do a collaborative effort with the city on a fieldhouse in Faribault.

I'll see what the mayor thinks about that proposal.

I understand the matter would be put to a vote of Faribault school district voters before it would be reality.
