Over Back To The 50's Weekend in St. Paul, which this year ran from June 20 - 24th a Faribault man's car was recognized by the website MSN.com's Hot Rod Network. Mike Hughes 1941 Willy's Coupe was picked as a Top-10 car at the show. The website attends 10 car shows over the year and takes the Top-10 cars and puts them into a list of the Top-100 cars of the year. A pretty cool honor for Mike!

The Minnesota Street Rod Association event has been part of the STREET RODDER Top 100 program for several years. The selections made by the website at Back To The 50's weekend reflected the flavor of the event. Most of the cars have been built by the owners themselves on a mid-range budget and are seen on the street as much as they're seen at a car show.

Beyond that, the top-10 selected by the website is a diverse group—Thirties, Forties, Fifties, and Sixties rides; roadsters, sedans, coupes, and pickups. Some are time-honored survivors, some are recent rebuilds, and some are fresh out of the shop. Nine cars recognized were from the state of Minnesota. One selected was a Wisconsin custom, added to the mix to shake things up a little.

Here is what the Mike told the website about his car.

"Mike says it's the car everyone wants, and he gets a ton of attention with his. He also says the cops are always pulling him over, not to give him a ticket, but just out of interest in the car."

The Chief might have some explaining to do...
