Faribault Hospital Expansion Discussed on AM Minnesota

Allina District One Hospital Chief Operating Officer Stephen Pribyl is scheduled to be joined by Emergency Room Manager Dawn Steffen on AM Minnesota this morning.

Pribyl recently announced his retirement.

He oversaw the transition from the locally owned community hospital to a hospital in the Allina family of clinics and hospitals and the ER expansion was part of the agreement.

We will learn more about that and what you will see if you attend the community open house planned for this Thursday from 5-7PM. You are invited to the family-friendly event, which features self-guided tours, giveaways and refreshments.

The new ER measures 20,000 square feet, which is more than double the previous area.

Boasting 14 single-occupancy patient exam rooms, three of which are behavioral health rooms, two trauma rooms, cardiac monitoring throughout, pneumatic tube system and enhanced security.
