Today is Homecoming for the Faribault High School. I took a few minutes to run down to the parade and grab a few pictures of the festivities.

Today's weather was perfect for being outside. We had abundant sunshine and a high of 82 degrees. Just gorgeous! A long long time ago, back when I was in school, it snowed during homecoming! It's amazing how different the weather can be. I remember sitting there in a winter jacket freezing, huddled up with my friends watching the football game. Then someone would call a timeout and I'd make the mad dash back up to my spot in the pep band and start playing.

The homecoming parade takes place just about a block away from the KDHL/; Power 96 studios, so I wandered down to catch part. Of course, no one on the royal court looked familiar, but there is one thing I recognized as soon as I got near the area, the very distinct, crowd rousing drum cadence. There is something about seeing a marching band that I just love. Hearing the Faribault Fight Song is like taking a trip back in time!

If you want to listen to the game, tune to Power 96 for pregame coverage. And to get you in the Falcon Pride spirit, here are a handful of pictures from the parade.
