Faribault High School graduate Reed Ross was the only Minnesota qualifier in the Greater Iowa Scholarship Tour Tournament of Champions.

Action was Sunday at Leisure Lanes in Davenport, Iowa. Ross started the day finishing third after the first qualifying game. It's a scratch bowling tournament and participants roll eight qualifying games to determine the finalists. Halfway through the competition Ross was in sixth place; the top eight advance to the finals.

However the current Minnesota State-Mankato student studying civil engineering finished 17th at the tournament. College and high school bowlers from throughout the region compete for scholarship money, and all tournament qualifiers are guaranteed to recoup their $45 entry fee.
