The Faribault Falcon girls hockey team has not lost nine games into the season and they still are not ranked by Let's Play Hockey.

Let's Play Hockey does the high school rankings, and the latest poll came out Wednesday with Faribault in the "others receiving votes" category in Class A.

Faribault sits atop the Big Nine with a 7-0 conference mark, and three conference teams are in the Class A top 20.

Red Wing is the highest rated Big Nine team at No. 8 and heading into Thursday had a 2-4 record on the season.

Owatonna (5-2) was 19th and Northfield (4-3) ranked 20th.

Faribault's two ties came against non-conference opponents, including New Ulm. The Eagles are ranked 13th in the state.

Blake is on top followed by Thief River Falls, Breck, St. Paul United and Warroad. New Prague is ranked 10th.

In the Class AA rankings, Hill-Murray is on top with Minnetonka, Edina, Wayzata and Eden Prarie rounding out the top five.

Lakeville South is ninth, Dodge County 12th, Eagan 15th; Lakeville North and Eastview received votes but did not crack the top 20.

Faribault is scheduled to play at Owatonna next Thursday after hosting Fairmont on Friday night.
