The Faribault Fire Department has traditionally conducted their open house on the Saturday before Fire Prevention Week.  This year is no exception.  We will get all the details on our AM Minnesota program at 9:30 a.m. when Fire Chief Dusty Dienst joins us in the KDHL Studio.

The theme this year is "Look, Listen, Learn.  Be Aware.  Fire can happen anywhere."  National Fire Prevention Week runs Sunday, October 7 through Saturday October 13.  Since 1922 Fire Prevention Week has been observed.  The National Fire Protections Association (NFPA) coordinates the event.

Recently it was announced that Minnesota has had more fire fatalities this year then any year since 2007.

If you can't listen at 9:30 a.m. the audio will be available from the show on this page.  Remember the best way to access all this information is to download the FREE KDHL app.  Just tap the app and read all the website content, listen to the station, check out the radar.  You will quickly find it is one of your favorite and most used apps.
